The Connecticut Concussion Task Force's mission is to increase the knowledge of the population of Connecticut on the injury of concussion. Our role will be to add to the research being done on concussions, standardize care for the concussed patient and educate medical providers on the protocols available for treatment.

Education
In 2008 the CCTF recognized that there was a lack of current knowledge regarding the management and treatment of concussion among athletes and coaches, especially at the high school and youth sports. Therefore, we set out to find ways to better educate the public.

Baseline Testing
Following a concussion, recovery protocols assess physical as well as cognitive exertion to guarantee that after symptoms have resolved full normal brain function has returned. A baseline test is a useful tool that helps medical providers identify subtle cognitive dysfunction.
